Johannes Dundore, son of John and Catharine (Geiss) was born June 30, 1780, in Bern township, and died April 14, 1858. He married twice, 1st to Elizabeth Kline, born March 30, 1783, and died April 14, 1812, buried at Bern Church. Children; Samuel K., born 1805; Isaac, born 1808; Rebecca born 1807; Polly, born 1809, married Rev. John Krember of IL.; Mary born 1812, married Israel Mellinger of S.D. He married 2nd to the sister of his first wife, Christiana Kline, born Feb 8, 1794, died April 6, 1861. Children; Elizabeth who died in infancy. Aaron born 1817 died in infancy, Cathaine, born 1819 died 1871, Elizabeth, born 1823; William K.; Leah born 1828, married John Stoner; Harrison K.; Susanna born 1835 married Christian R. Winter; Lydia born Dec 10, 1840, married Aaron Jacob Christ, of Naperville, IL. Members of the Zion Church. Jacob Dundor, founder of the Dundor family in America, was born July 25, 1720, son of Miguel Dundeur, who never came to America. Jacob Dundor made the vovage to America in 1741, on the ship "Friendship". He located in Bern township where he died May 20, 1789, leaving a widow Anna Maria (Brecht).
