    3. Dauphin County-Bios Frank, Andrew P., Elizabethville, was born in Jackson township, DAuphin Co., he was born Sept 5., 1847, s/o Daniel and Gertrude (Keiter) Frank. He married in Washington township, Jan 26, 1878 to Catharine Knerr, born in Miffline township, July 17, 1834, d/o Daniel and Mary (Matter) Knerr, of that township. Children; Bertha J., Mabel M., and Henry D. Frank,Charles, was born in Phila., Feb 1, 1839, s/o Jacob and Mary (List) Frank. When he was 6 years old, his parents moved to Columbia, Lancaster county. In 1855 he moved to Harrisburg. No wife mentioned. Frank, George W., was born in Jackson township, Aug 13, 1835. His father, David Frank, was born in Lancaster county. He married Annie Cameron, and had children; Henry, Jacob, John, Samuel, George, Daniel, Sarah, Susanna, Julia, the wife of Frederick Baker, Dauphin Co. Mr. Frank's 2nd wife was Gertrude Kider, of Jackson township and had children; Andrew P., and Joseph. Mr. Frank died in 1873, and his wife, Gertrude died in 1889. Members of the Reformed Church. Frank, James, born in Halifax township,Dauphin Co, s/o Jacob and Catharine (Whitman) Frank. Children; David, Henry, Barbara, who married John Yiengst, James, Sarah who married William G. Gier, and Frederick. James Frank, married Oct 24, 1885 to Mary d/o Jacob and Elizabeth Blessing. Children; Harvey D., and William. Frank, Henry, was born in Upper Paxton township, Dauphin Co., Jan 19, 1824, s/o John and Elizabeth (Meck) Frank. His paternal great-grandparents, whose surname was Neighbor. His family consisted of 4 daughters, one of whom married John Frank, one, married David Frank, and the other 2 married brothers by the name of Sandoe. John Frank, was born in Upper Paxton, Oct 20, 1796 and died Oct 12, 1870. His wife, Elizabeth Meck,was born in 1800, and died 1857. Children; George W., who married Elizabeth Hoover, Henry, Nathaniel and Catharine (twins), Nathaniel died in infancy, Catharine, marred Henry Knouff, and she was left a widow with 2 small children, (John and Frank). Mr. John Frank was a soldier in the War of 1812 Henry Frank,married Feb. 11. 1851 to Mary B., d/o John and Elizabeth (Light) Eberly. Two of their six children are deceased. Children; Laura, 1852, Mary E., 1856,, Simon P., 1853, John N., 1858, married Sarah Wombaugh, Emma E. 1861, Miriam, 1869 Frank, David, grandfather, died in Jackson township. John Frank, was born in Armstrong Valley, Dauphin county. He died in Halifax township, in 1874. He married Susan Miller. Children;William D., Margaret, Ellen died aged 3, Emma J., married twice, first to John W. Speck, second to Aaron J. Bressler, Mary, wife of David M. Stone, John of Clearfied County, married "Livina Edgert of Clearfield County. William D., married in Elizabethville to Mary A. Koppenheffer on Jan 22, 1882. Children; two that died in infancy, Charles H., 1886 and one that is unnamed born 1896 York County History Frank,Harry Emerson, subject). In the agnatic line, Mr. Frank comes from sturdy German ancestory, his grandfather, Nicholas Frank, coming from a wealthy and influential family in Bavaria. He served 15 years in the Prussian cavalry, he died at 76 years of age. Mr. Frank's maternal grandmother, Mrs. Elizabth Danner was also born in Germany, and came with her family to America, landing in Baltimre. She moved to York, PA. She died in July 1904 at age 96/ John Joseph Frank, father of Harry E., was born in York, July 4, 1840, he married in 1860 to Elizabeth Danner (born in Germany, 1839) d/o Adam Danner of York. She died Jan. 22, 1902, she was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church. In Oct, 1904, Mr. Frank married his 1st wife's sister, Mary A. Danner. Of the two children of the first marriage, Harry E., is the elder and his sister, Mazie Adaline. Harry E., married Sept 26, 1899, to Sue Hiestand Gable, born in Hellam, June 25, 1877.
