Members of the Gouglersville Union Church IV Samuel, son of Henry, born Sept 10, 1844, in Brecknock township, died April 5, 1886, age 41y 6m 25d. He married Mary Ann Roth, born March 4, 1841, d/o Absalom and Ann (Fisher) Ruth. Children; George S., Charles A., Annie, Harry O., and Edwin R. V. George S., son of Samuel, was born Jan 19, 1867, in Spring township. On March 31, 1889 he married Amelia Matz, born Jan 29, 1862, d/o David and Mary (Ulrich) Matz. Children; Charles, married Laura Gromis, Paul M., and Willliam S. III Lewis, s/o Jacob, died in Lancaster Co. He is buried at the Catholic cemetery in Lancaster. He married Catharine Shnabel. Children; Betzy, wife of Henry Bolten, Adam, Christian, Susan, wife of ___ Clark, Catharine, wife of Frank Seiling, she is a member of the Catholic Church, Annetta, wife of Wellington Poff, of Reading, Henry, of Lancaster, whose children were Albert, Maggie, Henrietta, Rosa, Kate, and Ida IV Adam, married Sarah Smith, of Sinking Springs, d/o Frederick Smith, the latter a member of the Catholic Church (St. Peter's). Aloysius Eckenrode, father of William M.., died Dec 31, 1882, aged 76, his wife, Nancy Myers, died in July the same year. They were the parents of eight sons and two daughters. William M., born near New Oxford, Adams Co., Dec. 6, 1849. He married Catharine Klunk, of Adams Co. Children;David Martin, Mary Genevieve, Pauline, Marguerite, William Hamilton, and Catharine Esther.
