A, James Knight, William Carter, Samuel Houston, David Robinson were witnesses McFerren. John, VA Line R6712 applied in Greenbrier Co., VA, soldier was born in Ireland and came to America in 1775 McFerrin, Samuel or as Samuel McFarren, PA Line, see Samuel Farrern McFerrin, Samuel, or Samuel Mc Farren, see Samuel McFarren McFerrin, William, or as William McFerrin, S2791, VA Line, soldier was born in 1755 York Co., PA and he lived with his father (not named) in Augusta Co. VA at enlistment and in 1779 he moved with his father to Washington Co., VA and also enlisted there ,for some 35 years, then moved to Ruthford, TN and in NOv 1832 he moved to Tipton Co., TN where he applied 1833. Soldier married in Feb 1780 (wife not named) when he applied he lived with son-in-law (not named) in Tipton Co., VA McFarren, John or as John McFarran, Jane, W2316, soldier married Jane Campbell in May 1807 in Ontario Co., NY, soldier applied inYates Co., NY aged 82. Soldier enlisted at Mt. Bethel, Northampton Co., PA for20 years where he was born in 1750 and in 1787 he moved to Northumberland Co., NY for 20 years then moved to Vernon, NY the part that became Benton, NY Widow applied in 1833 Yates Co., NY aged 83. Soldier died 15 Jan 1834 McFarren, Samuel, BLW#1459-200-5 April 1794 to Margaret McFarren adm'x PA Line and inquiry was made 2 June 1920 from Morristown, NJ by Eliza Lynn who referred to him as her great-grandfather Samuel McFerran who died 7 Dec 1790 aged 34 leaving a wife Margaret McFerran who married next to Capt. John Johnson of near Hancock, MD. Soldier's widow died 5 July 1819 and her 2nd husband died 27 Oct 1845 and all 3 of them were buried at the Baptist Church Cemetery at Tomoloway in Fulton Co., PA ( this was not confirmed) Best Wishes, Geri
