He married March 21, 1861 to Elizabeth Ridge, d/o William and Catharine (Wyker) Ridge, of Point Pleasant and a descendant of Edward Marshall (the walker). Children; Dr. William R., J. Howard, M.D. of Middle Bush, NJ and Katharine E.C.,the wife of William C. Acuff, a lawyer from Ambler. Dr. William R., married March 20, 1890 to Mary Smith Shaddinger, d/o Andrew and Martha (Smith) Shaddinger. Children; Lloyd Napier and Dorothey. Ridge, LLoyd, of Lower Makefield township. His grandfather, Daniel Ridge lived and died in Bensalem township. He married Rachel Staats and they had children; William W., Hiram, James, Charles, Elizabeth, wife of Spencer Tomlinson, Emeline, wife of John Comly and Daniel. William W., son of Daniel, was born in Bensalem township, Sept 12, 1817. He married Sarah E. Johnson and they had children; Lloyd, Emma, wife of Luther H. Cornell, and Annie, wife of Newton Myers. LLoyd, son of William W., was born in Bensalem, July 10, 1842, he married Mary Wilson, d/o Jesse S and Martha C. Wilson Ridge, Louis Augutus. was born in Bristol township, Bucks Co., Jan 23, 1832 s/o Jesse and Hannah (Noland) Ridge and grandson of Henry Ridge. On the maternal side he was the grandson of Dr. William and Hannah (Noble) Noland. Louis A., married Aug 25, 1875 to Rosannah Kirk of Bensalem, the d/o Simpson and Anna (Grim) Kirk and granddaughter of Benjamin and Rosanna (Carr) Kirk. The maternal grandparents of Mrs. Ridge were, John and Alica (Culin) Grim.
