    3. Odds and Ends In 1776, 6 taverns were kept (Allentown) by Henry Hagenbuch, Michael Klechner, Nicolas Fuchs, Michael Schroeder, George Weiss, and Philip Klotz. The Hagenbuch family was represented here as early as 1773 by Henry Hagenbuch being licensed in that year to keep a tavern. He was succeed by Jacob, who was either a son or a brother, and he by Jacob 2nd, whose sons, Benjamin J., and Charles H., carried on the same house-The Cross Keys-in later years. This house was conduct4d by members of the family for nearly 100 years. The elder Jacob Hagenbuch died in 1813 and the younger in 1870. Four children of the latter are living (1884), Benjamin J. Margueretta who married Rev. Fritzinger of Allentown, Charles H., and George of Kansas, and Mary (deceased in 1884) who married John Mory. Kistler-Monroe County Michael M. Kistler, son of Michael and Magdalena (Brobst) was born in Lynn township, April 14, 1833. He married Catharine Rumbel, d/o John and Margaret (Andrews) Rumbel. She was born in 1823. Children; Albert Franklin of East Stroudsburg, Mary Maranda (1858-1882), the wife of Sylvanus Warner of E. Stroudsburg, Hiram Wilson, of East Stroudsburg. Lucy Elmira, Stepeh Bird, and Lillie Irene Kistler. Michael Kistler,(1790-1880) father of Michael, was a resident of Kistler's Valley, Lehigh County, he married Magdelena Brobst (1801-81), were buried at Jerusalem Church. Children ; Stephen who died in 1880, "Parry", of Lehigh County, Sarah, who married Stephen Snyder of Carbon County, Jacob, Joel, died in 1884, Polly who married Eli Sechler of Lehigh County, and died about 1856, Mary, the wife of Charles Foust, of Albeny, Berks County, Daniel of Schuykill County, William of Stroudsburg, Michael M., Angeline, who married Peter Seip of Lehigh County, and Catharine who married ______Brobst, and died 1858. The grandfather, Jacob Kistler. Children; Philip, Jacob, Daniel, Michael, Solomon, Catharine and Magdalena. The great-grandfather, George Kistler. Children; George Jr., Jacob (grandfather of Michael M.), John, Samuel, Phillip, Michael, Barbara who married 1st __Brobst, 2nd Michael Mosser of Lowhill township, Dorotea married Michael Reinhart, and Elizabeth who married ____Keller, near Hamburg, PA Lantz-Monroe County History Lantz family of Sussex Co., NJ, emigrated from the province of Alsace, Germany. Jacob Lantz was born in Germay in 1741 and settled on his Hampton farm, situated between Newton and Washingtonville, Sussex Co., NJ., about 1759. He died in 1827 in his 84th year. His wife, Mary, died in her 87th year. Children of Jacob; George, married Catharine Hand,he died in 1847 in his 86th year, children. ( Maria, Jacob, Peter, George, John, Susan, Ann, Robert, William, Martha, David, ) Peter, settled in Bradford Co., Jacob, settled in Andover, NJ and had 5 children (David, Geroge N., Mary, Catharine and Eliza), Margaret who married Peter L.
