kissinger, jacob, spring twp, born dec 18, 1839, s/o abraham m. and abolonia (hill) kissinger. michael kissinger, the american ancestor, was a native of the fatherland. his will was probated in 1791, provided for wf. mary. children; michael, john, who had a son john and 3 daughters; abraham, barbara bricker, mary, catharine, susanna and eva elizabeth john kissinger, grandson of michael, lived at mohr hill in spring twp, he died 1851. he married cathariine garner, children; polly, sallie, lizzie, kate, john, elijah, and henry. of these, elijah ikissinger was born 1841, died 1883, he married lousia messinger (1822-1875), children; henry, samuel m., mary, elijah, louise and henry. samuel m. kissinger, s/o elijah and grandson of john, was born dec. 4, 1851, he married amanda trostle and they had children,, albert, sallie, katie, mary, lizzie, samuel, john, julia, mamie, charles, harry, grover, carrie, maud, jennie and amanda. abraham kissinger, grandfather of jacob was born sept 17, 1778 in bern twp and died in spring twp, may 16, 1860 age 81y 7m 29d. he married elizabeth moyer, d/o johannes, children; daniel, dec. 17, 1801-nov 25, 1850 and was buried in kissingers cem., susanna oct 1, 1805-jan 10, 1856, benjamin june 4, 1807-oct. 10, 1888, eliza married charles powell, abraham m.., jacob june 16, 1815-jan 19, 1898, married 1st to sarah koch (1826-1853), and 2nd matilda dunkelberger (1831-1901). kissinger's church along the tulpehocken was named for abraham kissinger and his brother john. abraham m. kissinger, father of jacob born april 19, 1811 in bern twp, died nov 14, 1882. he married abolonia hill, born june 1, 1807, died aug 30, 1892, d/o jacob of alsace twp. children, jonathan of reading married catharine trout, elizabeth w/o william moyer of lyons, pa., susan married francis mee of riverside,k, amos married christina huff at lived at dauberville, where he died aug, 1905 age 70., jacob, sarah married daniel frymoyer of reading, abbie married daniel wanner of riverside, dr. abraham married 1st miss schuder and 2n sue weiler and lived at terre hill, louisa married william wanner of reading, henry married maggie yost. pg. 843-844 historical and biographical annals of berks co.-motyon l. montgomery Best Wishes, Geri -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, December 6, 2006 6:59 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [PABERKS] Amos Kissinger 1824 - 1884 I'm 75% that this is the family buried at Charles Evans section P its 2 lot for the Potteiger's Family [I think the lot owner was Amos Potteiger] its befor You get to The Pyramid Doug Mrs. Amos W. Potteiger's father was Abraham Kissinger, a farmer, born in 1792, died in 1864; he married Susanna Seidel, born in 1795, died in 1875. Their homestead was located in Bern township, opposite Reading and overlooking the Schuylkill river. Her grandfather, also named Abraham, a farmer of the same township, was born in 1750 and died in 1833. He was married to Maria Angenisz Kieszling, born in 1752, died in 1838. Mrs. Potteiger's parents had nine children: Abraham S. (m. to Lydia Gring); Rebecca (m. to Jonathan Gicker); Mary (m. to Benjamin Schmeck); Elizabeth (m. to Samuel Kissinger); Louisa S.
