Sorry I did not see it until today. I made a copy of the whole thing and will study it as more of our family may be listed. My Jacob did serve in the Rev War out of Bucks County under ... Erwin (I forget his first name) and now there is a town called Erwinna in Tinicum Twsp named after him. The trouble is Jacob's correct birthdate. The date I have could be right but there doesn't seem to be any proof. Christian does look like a likely candidate (and when he died his wife was listed as Barbara) so I thought maybe his children were listed with birth dates in some church records. I have a lot of birth records for Bucks county but not for Northampton. His will does list them as Henry, Jacob, Moses, Ann Elizabeth, Mary, Charity, Eva Jane, and Rosinna and many of these names were used again for Jacob's children. In Tinicum they attended a Presbyterian church but others in the family may have been Lutheran. For some reason I don't think they were German but may have been Scotch. No proof though. You are correct - there were many ways to spell Weaver and there are many Jacob Weavers all over the place! There was a Christian Webber who arrived in Philadelphia about the right time who could be the Christian above. (At the moment I can't find this data. Since it is speculative I didn't enter it into the computer.) For what it's worth the SAR record application was submitted in 1929 and says Jacob was born in Harrisonville, VA. This flies against everything else I've heard but perhaps I should pursue it. Thank you again for all your time and trouble. I really appreciate it! If you should ever need records for Bucks County I have quite a few, especially cemetery records so just let me know. It make me wonder if you have some source - perhaps compiled lists - where you can look these up. If so ----- I wonder if you would mind looking up my line. Jacob Weaver was my ancestor and many reports say he was born 12 Apr 1746. However, all these reports seem to go back to the same SAR record as proof and that record is full of errors. So I am looking for something more reliable like church records. I did find a will for a Christian Weaver who died in Mt Bethel Township, Northampton, in 1783 and he looks like a likely candidate for Jacob's father since both families used the same given names for their children. And, if you have time, would you also please look for Hannah Harrison. She was Jacob's first wife and I can find nothing on her. If you find Christian's family perhaps Hannah's is nearby. Jacob spent his adult life in Tinicum, Bucks County, and is said (?) to have been born in Bucks but at that time Northampton was part of Bucks so it would still fit. If you can shed any light on this family I would be so greatly indebted to you! Thank you for your time.
