Looks like Amzi was the s/o Jacob & Eliza (Place !) per http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=REG&db=moss&id=I1909 and Jacob connects to the Friedrich Frutchey family per http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=PED&db=kin1&id=I1426 No James though :^( Are you descended from them? Hi Ron, Thanks for your response. I have also seen the trees at world connect and Ancestry.com. I don't put a lot of faith in any of the trees. Here's what I know and how I connect (I think!) James is living with Amzie and his family in the 1860 &1880 census. He is listed as brother. I can not find them in the 1850 or the 1870 census. See the census record below. I am indirectly related. Alice C Loller, wife of Milton P Frutchey, was the sister of my gr gr grandmother, Margaret Loller who married Milton Fox. Sarah Dietrich, wife of John Buckley Frutchey, was the sister of my gr gr gr gr grandfather, Elias Detrick who married to Eva Nicholas. There is also a John Frutchey & Sarah Dildine. My gr gr grandmother was Ella Dildine who was married to Jacob Smith. I have not found the connection for Ella Dildine. She was listed as Charles Smith, my gr grandfather's, mother on his funeral home record. In the 1870 census, Jacob is living with parents Isaac & Rachel Cortright Smith, he is aged 18. In the 1880 census, Jacob is again living with parents and has a child, Charles. No Ella. I think Ella is Sarah E, daughter of Peter M & Catherine Winters but I have no proof. This is probably way more information then you wanted but, I'm very connected to many families from Northampton, Monroe and Columbia counties. I have been researching my families for several years. Other families surnames, Lee, Transue, Aten, Decker, Bisbing, Smiley, Fleming, just to name a few.
