horn, john w. born in weisport, carbon co., feb. 2, 1852, member of fritz memorial ch. his wf. amelia warner, was born in mauch chunk, carbon co, where her father settled when he came from england. mrs. horn died june 14, 1887. of her 12 children, 9 are now living (1894). the paternal grandfather of john horn was a native of germany, and his son, john w. horn's father lived at lehighton. in 1870 john w. became a resident of bethlehem (150 north st.) he married jan. 18, 1872 to estther m. ruth, born at hamilton square, monroe co., d/o george ruth, of cherry valley, monroe co. her grandfather, also george ruth, was a natie of england and he lived in bucks co. mrs. horn's father moved to monroe co. in 1869 he moved to bethlehem where he died 1881 age 74. he was a member of the ref. ch. he married susan fenner, she being of monroe co. two sons srv. in the civil war, charles was wounded in service, recovered, met his deah at avandale in a mine disater. israel was a resident of scranton odenwelder, henry l. a j.p. of palmer, northmpton co., was born 5 feb 1842, s/o jacob b. and mary a, (gratwhole) odenwelder, natives of northampton co his paternal grandfather was born in northampton co. henry l.'s father died april, 15, 1884, of his children, 5 are now living (18894), robert, of forks twp., sabilla, w/o enos ott, of easton, henry l. subject, tilghman of palmer and asher j., of easton. odenwelder, robert, of palmer, s/o jacob b. and mary a. born in this county, sept 28, 1835, he married jan 27, 1859, to catharine ott, d/o samuel. of the six children born to this union, only one is living (1894) mary a, w/o f. j. richard. the present wife of robert was mrs. sabina sandt, d/o charles messinger, she was born oct 27, 1838, d/o charles j. and nancy (bonten) messinger, natives of northampton co.
