berks co. history edinger, william c. his great-grandfather, frederick eddinger, a resident of district twp., he is buried at longswamp ch. his wf. catharine (reppert), had a family of 4 children; frederick jr., peter, jacob, and joseph. peter edinger, s/o frederick, was born jan. 1, 1793 in the blue mountain area. he died may26, 1868-69 at the devil's hole. he is buried in an unmarked grave at bally catholic ch., of which he was a member. he was originally a lutheran. peter edinger was a resident of washington twp. he married maria reppert, his mother's cousin. children; abraham of allentown, catharine, married john fisher, she lived with her daughter mrs. willliam fry, in hereford tw., anna married mr. mest, elias, frederick born 1826,, elizabeth married daniel repprt and lived in chester, pa., magdalena, w/o george de long. frederick edinger was born 1826 and was killed in mine explosion at emaus, lehigh co., buried at bally. he married sophia miller, born 1827, died 1902. children; herny, annie, edwin, amanda, jerone, mary, frederick and lizzie. elias edinger, s/o peter was born in washington twp., april 29, 1822, died jan. 5., 1892. he married mary clauser, d/o george and catharine (moser) clauser. children; hannah, w/o william "kummerer", william c., mary ann to jacob hatfield of pottstown, catharine married horace herbst, john of boyertown, morris of barto, obediah of earl, elllen married francis wentzel of pottstwn and frank of earl twp. william c. edinger, was born in berks co. on oct. 2, 1870 married mary moyer, d/o isaac and elizabeth (matthias) moyer and granddaughter of henry moyer.
