War Metzgar Jacob, PA Line, soldier was born 22 Jan 1747, he lived in Northumberland Co at enlistment, he died 14 June 1821 Phillips Isaac, PA line, soldier was born in Aug 1763 in Bucks Co and at the age of 10 was moved to Fayette Co., PA where he lived at enlistment. he applied 1833. Soldier also served as a sub for his 1/2 brother, William Wells. Metzgar-War of 1812 William, wf Mary, PA Mil Jonas, wf. Mary, Ohio William, MD Metzgar-Monroe County History I. Grandfather, Christian Metzgar,was born in Bucks County, an a early settler of Ross County, Monroe County, his wife was Elizabeth Strout. Children; Samuel, Tina, the wife of John Shupp of Chestnut Hill, Monroe Co.,Julia, the wife of William Newhart, of Ross township, Annie who married Levi Frantz of Ross township, Lavina, who married Jacob Bond of Chestnut Hill.
