J. - Aug. 7. - Mrs. Emma Jane Frutchey of Montclair, who died at her summer home in Mount Bethel, Pa., yesterday was prominent in local and State Women's clubs for many years. She was a member of the Women's Club of Upper Montclair, the Women's Club of Orange and the Women's Club of Bayonne, and was the war-time chairman of the conservative committee of the State Federation of Women's Clubs; also a member of the national flower committee. Frutchey Special to The New York Times Easton, Pa., June 8 - William J. R. Frutchey of Mount Bethel, who operated silk shops in New York and Philadelphia from 1919 to 1930, died Wednesday at Monroe County General Hospital in East Stroudsburg. He was 86 years old. In 1886, he joined the John Wanamker store in Philadelphia, rising from clerk to buyer. Mr. Frutchey later was employed by the New York merchants James McCreery and Benjamin Altman. He leaves a son, Charles A. Frutchey; a sister, Mrs. Katherine E. F. Miller, and three brothers, George W, Charles and Arthur Frutchey.
