I am trying to connect my George HORN to other HORN families in SE PA. There are several large HORN families in Northampton, Bucks, Lehigh and Carbon counties but I have not been able to definitively connect my George with any of them. HORN, George was born April 16-17, 1820 in PA and died August 24-25, 1867 per a burial record of Christ Lutheran Church, Freemansburg; Northampton Co. Per his burial record he was the son of Jacob and Maria Horn. George HORN married Susan WARG, daughter of John Warg and Elizabeth Withman in 1843 in Bethlehem. This information was obtained from the obituary of Susan Warg Horn who died 1884. 1850 census places George and Susan and their children Jno (John), W(alter) S, A(lice?), and B(? Baby?) in Bethlehem. He was a tailor. I have full information on all of George and Susan's children (several born after 1850). There are no other Horns in Bethlehem in 1850, and none in Bethlehem in any earlier census. Apparently George came to Bethlehem shortly after the community was opened to non-Moravians. Susan Warg Horn's obituary says that her husband was of Pennsburg, Montgomery Co but I have not found any record of Horns in that area (NE) of Montgomery County. There is a HORN family in Lower Merion, Montgomery Co but I have not been able to connect my George to this family, either. There are a Jacob and Maria Horn in E Penn, Northampton Co in 1840 who have a son named Jacob but he is said to have been born in 1810. Any new leads would be much appreciated! Molly M
