hi nancy, i found the story about henry and his brother, both killed in the french and indian war. the colonial records should have something on them. i will send you the lancaster stuff before the week-end is over, what about the dauphin co. stuff, do you want that? lebanon co. frantz, daniel, born feb. 13, 1856 in lebanon, s/o theodore p. he married jan. 1877 to grace eliza strassner, who was born in orriville, ohio, d/o rev. frederick and mary strassner. children, edith, 1888, frederick, 1893, susan, 1895 frantz, m.k. s/o henry and catharine (kline) frantz, born in tulpehocken twp. berks co, aug. 2, 1837 on the farm which his father henry, his grandfather, mathew, his great-grandfatherchristian and his great-great-grandfather christian sr., lived. the deed for the tract was secured by christian sr. in 1750, it being a patent deed granted by thomas and john penn. about 1775 christian frantz, sr., devised the farm to his son. christian, about 15 years later moved to va. mathew frantz, the grandfather henry frantz, father m..k. on jan 3, 1857 was married to isabella walborn, d/o peter d., and lydia walborn. they had 10 children, 2 died in infancy and stanton h., died age 27. of the others, permillia married h. s. gockley, emma, agnes married f. p. miller, mary married olier k. albright, of reading, rebecca married rev. a. f. mace., charles p. and tilden h. frantz, theodore p. of lebanon. the family of which mr. frantz is a member was first represented in lebanon in the person of daniel frantz, who was a native of berks co, born aug 18, 1792 and died in lebanon, dec. 12, 1839, s/o daniel and maria frantz he married nov, 8, 1821 to elizabeth greenawalt, who was born in lebanon co., in 1795, and whose death occured aug. 4., 1856. she is the d/o capt. john philip greenawalt, who was born in lebanon, then part of lancaster co. capt. john philip greenawalt married catharine shaffner, who was born in lebanon, d/o the keeper of the buck house. daniel and elizabeth (greenwalt) frantz had children, uriah, catharine, elizabeth, theodore philip, lydia g., daniel, edmond and charles s. theodore frantz born feb. 25. 1828, married oct 10, 1848 to susan c. gutelius, born in lebanon, nov. 4, 1828, d/o john p. children, maria, daniel a., lily, william t., jacob arndt, charles and edwin. members of st. john's reformed ch. I was in the midst of moving to Florida. I never realized how much I did with my left arm. I couldn't even open cans. Our whole menu went down the tubes. You do a great job with what must be a real handicap. I remember how glad I was to be able to move my fingers to use my computer. My right shoulder is next and I keep puting it off.
