I believe this is the diminutive form of the surname George. Since it was the diminutive form does that mean she is unmarried, or maybe a spinster? Could she be a widow? Does anyone know she is? Maybe the proximity using the names of her neighbors could identify her. Any help in the location or Maria's identity appreciated.
