Detrick Special to The New York Times Chicago, Sept. 28 - Friends of Myron H. Detrick, former Chicago inventor and engineer, learned today of his death in Jackson, Mich., last Monday. Mr Detrick was 89 years old. He established the company bearing his name, engineers of heat enclosures, and was its president until his retirement fifteen years ago. The Detrick arch he developed for fire boxes is internationally used. Surviving are his widow, Charlotte, and two daughters, Mrs. Paul Barto and Mrs. Orville Wallace.
