    1. [PANORTHA-L] Re: [PALEHIGH-L] Re ANGLESTEIN, MILLER, FRY, KNOX, others .Very Long
    2. Awhile back Geri and others found names for me on Angelstein. I'm trying to put together a family file on the ANGELSTEIN/ANGLESTEIN family as a gift for a friend who is the greatgreat grandson of Frederick and Elizabeth KNOX ANGELSTEIN. If anyone has more information or corrections to what's listed, please let me know.. Or if you have suggestions on searching because I'm in NC and can not search locally in Lehigh Co. If anyone is local to the area and can put me in touch with someone related to this family I would very much appreciate it. Thank you. Since then I've found out that the sons (except Fred J) of Frederick H. Angelstein b. 11-1857 d. 1-19-1926 in Lehigh Co. buried at Fairview Cem. and Elizabeth KNOX Angelstein b. 3/1/1871 d. 2/12/1938 changed the spelling from ANGELSTEIN to ANGLESTEIN. I've found an Elizabeth KNOX on the 1880 census age 9 living with John (age 60) and Mary (age60) as well as Mary (age 16) in Lehigh Co. I believe it was the N Whitehall area. I'm trying to determine if this is the same Mary who married Frederick H. Angelstein during the late 1880s or early 1890. Known children of Frederick and Elizabeth are Ralston, Norman, Irwin, Frederick Joseph, Beatrice, Esther, Letitia, and William. I've located obits for Ralston, Norman, and Letitia but none of the others. Fairview cemetery caretaker did give me dates for William, his wife, and daughter as well as Frederick H and Elizabeth. Frederick Joseph Angelstein died June 5, 1958 (presumably in Bath, PA) according to an Anglestein descendent. Letitia and Esther both married MILLER men. Letitia to Allen L and unknown for Esther Beatrice married a FRY, I think. Also, trying to determine how the following names fit into the family or if they are even connected. Given the limited number of people in Lehigh Co with the Angelstein/Anglestein name, it seems they are probably connected somehow. Most of these connections (parent/child/sibling) were pieced together from Obituary notices in the Morning Call. I have the obit notice on file if anyone wants to see the entire obit. ANGELSTEIN, EDW. and BEVERLY (Edw.=?Edward, Edwin?) (Allentown Directory 1929-30 I think...sent by a fellow list member) steel worker ANGELSTEIN, CHRISTINA M. m. Peter Adams children: Eleanor I. Leiby *****Are Christina M and Mayme the same person or two different Angelstein women married to Peter ADAMS?....I did notice in the obit for Eleanor Keys that Christina's middle initial was M.**** Eleanor KEYS is listed as a sister of Enda GALUSHA in the obit for Mrs. Galusha. In obits for Myrtle LEIBY and Edna Galusha, the following are listed in both: sister Elenor KEYS, Grace HESS stepsister Elizabeth KNOWLTON stepbrothers Walter and Timothy HOUCK ANGELSTEIN, ELIZABETH b. 1915 d. 1916 (possibly daughter of Elizabeth and Frederick H or maybe one of their older sons??) buried at Fairview Cemetery in one of the two Angelstein/Anglestein lots. ANGELSTEIN, VIOLA D. m. Phaon G. Loch children: Mildred Loch m. Raymond M. Pudliner Dorothy E. m. John Masiko**** (Dorothy) b. May 19, 1919, d. May 21, 1989 Listed as sister to Dorothy E. Angelstein Masiko in her obit are: Mrs. Mildred Pudliner and Gladys, wife of Roy Comfort, both of Whitehall; Geraldine, wife of Robert Deiley of Coopersburg, and Mrs. Gloria Beltz of Womelsdorf, Berks County Are they the daughters of Viola Angelstein and Phaon Loch also? ***Dorothy's obit only listed her as the daughter of the late Viola (Angelstein) Loch. It did not include Phaon G. Loch. Contact: ssfisher2@hotmail.com or teach063@aol.com My apologies if any of the named persons are still living. I try hard to only post names of those who have already passed away.
