I would like to see a list of "All Taxpayers" of Northampton county for similar time periods. It seems to be very difficult to get much information from the County at large. It was sub-divided often and thngs are hard to locate even when it is known that certain persons paid taxes on land in certain townships. Finding the information seem more by accident than intent. For example. Are tax records for Penn township, Northampton Co., in 1785, now located in West Penn township, Schuylkill, County??? If not there, where??
