Mary Ann Grotz was b. PA in ~1814, most likely in Northampton Co. In the census she is 1850> age 37; 1870> age 56; 1880> age 66. On 4/28/1839 she married John Gradwohl (1814-1882). (Thanks to Kathy Ellen DiMenchi for the exact wedding date) In 1890 Mary Ann was living with her son Adam & his family on McCartney St. in Easton. Mary Ann lived until after November of 1904 (son Adam's dod); her exact dod not yet found. She was a member of the German Reformed Church. In 1900 she told the census taker that she had had 7 births, and that 5 or her children were then living. Sarah Ann 1840 m. Simon Raesner "of Warren Co., N.J." Ephraim Bauer Her parents were probably either John & Catherine Grotz (aka Krotz) or Issac & Hannah Grotz (Krotz). Easton Reformed Church bapt records of 1813 & 1817.
