    3. Hi, you know I forgot about the Dotterers of Monroe, thank you Larry. Dotter, Samuel Solomon, S2273 PA Line, applied 1833 in Luzerne Co., aged 75 a resident of Newport township. Soldier lived at the Irish Settlement at Northampton Co at enlistment. Soldier was born in 1759 near Pottsgrove in Phila. (now Montgomery) Co. Soldier mentions a brother, Philip of Northampton Co. After the war the soldier lived in Berks and Montogmery Ctys and in 1803 he moved to Wilkes "Barren" Township in Luzerne Co and in 1813 he moved to Newport township Monroe Co-Burials Joel Dotter, s/o John and Elizabeth, Nov 10, 1844, died Sept 15, 1862. Erection of the township. Up to 1731 the terriorty now comprised in Frederick was without an official name and without a local goverment. It was known as Falker's Swamp. Petiton was signed by George Philip Dodderer, Johann Ludwich Dodderer, Hannes Mitchell Doderer George Philip Dodderer of Falkner's Swamp, carpenter, on Dec 22, 1722, one hundred acres, and on Feb 2, 1725, fifty acres. He made a will on the 19th Oct 1741, and he died on the 6th day of the following month. His wife Veronica, survived him until 1752. Their children were Michael, Bernhard who settled in New Hanover township. Anna Elizabeth married 1st to Michael Zimmerman and 2nd to Jacob Korr, Hieronimus, Barbara, who married Jacob Markley of Skippack, and Conrad. Hieronimus, son of George Philip Dodderer, died in Nov 1727. He left a widow, Catharine, who shortly afterward married Michael Krause, and had two daughters, first, Veronica, born Jan 7, 1725 married Philip Yost, died Dec 7, 1798, second Agnes, born Feb 14, 1727, married Jost Bitting, and died Jan. 1801. He succeeded to his father's estate and lived upon it all his life. His wife, Magdalena, to whom he married Jan. 1732, died Aug 21, 1797. Their children were; Christian, Jacob, Conrad, (who it appears from the best information on hand, married Margaret Pennebacker, d/o Peter, of Skippack and migrated to Frederick Co., MD). John, born Nov 26, 1751 and died Feb 1,1835, Abraham, Catharine, Christina, Susanna, Elizabeth and Magdalena (who married, Feb 23, 1786, Peter Esterlein of New Hanover township). George Philip Dodderer and his sons were naturalized by act of Assembly passed May 18, 1739. Michael Dodderer, of Falkner's Swamp, son of George Philip, on the 24th of Jan. 1726, bought of Hans Neus, of Northern Liberties, one hundred and fifty acres on the east bank of Society Run, and facing the German tract, and on the 8th of Nov. 1734, the proprietaries granted by patent, fifty acres adjoining the foregoing. His wife Anna Maria Fisher, d/o Jacob and Sophia Fisher, an early settler of New Goshenhoppen, in Hanover township, their children were; Anna Sophia, born March 5, 1726, Anna Veronica, born Sept 5, 1727, George Philip born Aug 30, 1729, John Conrad, born May 10, 1731, Maria Margaret, born June 27, 1731, Michael, born Oct 31, 1735, Jacob, born July 4, 1737, one son born Jan 22, 1739, twins born Nov 18, 1741, died in infancy, and Anna Maria born Jan 4, 1745. Michael Krauss, his wife was Catharine, the widow of Hieronimus Dodderer Taxables of Frederick township, 1734 Michael Bastin, Ludwig Detterer, George Philip Dotterer, Michael Dotterer In 1785, Conrad Dotterer, John Dotterer, Michael Dotterer, Philip Dotterer, John Faust, Peter Faust.
