Gehris, James Gehris (Garis) was borrn in 1826 Falkners Swamp, near Pottsown, Montgomery Co, came to Reading during the Civil war, he was a carpenter who followed that trade in Berks and Schuylkill Counties. He married Martha Moyer, d/o Michael and Catharine (Hartline) Moyer. Joy, Lancaster Co.., who had been formerly Anna Eberly, and three children were born to them. Five children from the second marriage which took place in 1826, were; John, Elizabeth, Anna, Catharine, Simon In 1827 Samuel Musselman moved to Cumberland Co, in 1843 his wife united with the Evangelical Church, she died July 10, 1849. Samuel married the widow Snavely and they moved toNew Kingston, his second wife died Aug 8, 1884 at New Kingston, aged 81y 5m 3d and she is buried by the side of Mr. Snavley John Mussleman, father, was born in Oct., 1826, in 1850 he married Margaret Musser, d/o Jacob Musser of Cumberland Co, who died in 1892, aged 63.
