good question, a john peter ott, was born 1772, father peter and catharine, peter ott, born 1777, father henry and catharine ott, peter ott, feb. 23, 1794, father john and margaret ott. early wills of northampton co., 19 june, 1766, estate of henry rees, upper mildford twp. 12 men jury, included, michael ott 16 june 1767, estate of frantz road, salisbury twp, 12 men jury included michael ott bucks co. peter samsel, lower milford twp.. nov 8, 1790, owned 124 acres. left widow catharine, and 8 children, 3 minors, under 21, petition signed by paul, peter, nicholas, and abraham june 26, 1792. served as a sgt. in capt. stever's co. of bucks co. mil., under the command of john lacey. wounded in nov. 1777 near gall mills on the west side of the schuylkill river and was taken prisoner by the british arm. carried to phila where he died of his wounds. left a widow and 8 small children. northampton co. 19 sept 1787, estate of henry ott, died about 2 years ago. upper milford twp. widow _ children, christopher, e.s., michael, henry, george, jacob, elisabeth, w/o nicholas samsel, mary, w/o john olinger, cathariine, w/o george worman, margaret, w/o john rudolph, susanna so yes, i think michael. but henry is a close 2nd. remember the two horse race i bet on and lost.
