(Peter, Felix, George Felix, David, Andrew Russel, Anthony Claude, Raymond Walter, then my father). That's also how I got your e-mail address. Thank you so much for the information and what work you put into it. http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/th/read/PANORTHA/2006-12/1165338192 I am new to genealogy other than using the internet, but there are several in my family who have done much- just none in my branch of the Lynn surname until now. If I could impose, I'd like to ask a couple questions: How did you gather all of this information? And how/ where could one go about seeing original documents? Is there a certain historical society or gov't record office? Do you (or what's your) relationship/interest in Linn? Finally- What might be a good way to get a date of birth or parent's information to help me make the leap to Germany for Peter Linn? Again- that you so much for the details you've given me. Although I'd seen them other places, your note confirms with more detail. I may plan a visit to see the Great Swamp church cemetary mentioned in one of your posts. Jim Lynn eileenandjim@gmail.com

I have been searching for an Abraham Smith, who was born circa 1816 in PA. I recently found an Abraham Smith, born in September 1815 to William Smith and Susanna Transue in Northampton. First I am looking for any information about this family that may help to prove or disprove that he is my Abraham. William Smith (above) died on 11/29/1857. Would anyone be willing to lookup his will or look him up in a county history for me? Does anyone know what became of this Abraham Smith? My Abraham was in the western PA area in the 1840's. monroe co., pa. st. mark's ch. aka; zimmerman lutheran, laurel hilll ch., branchville, minisink hill, north water gap. this cem. is located down hill from st. mark's ch. at the minisink hills. it is believed that this cem. was the original burying ground of the zimmerman family who probably also provided the land on which the ch. was built. john georg zimmerman came to smithfield twp. from berks co around 1802 and built several mils on marshall's creek. the oldest tombstone found is that of johan georg zimmerman, who died in 1828 . the inscription on this stone indicates he was born in maxatawney twp., berks co. several other tombstone early zimmerman family members say were born at tulpehocken in lebanon co.
