    2. The names in the Lowhill church listing will certainly help someone and I am wondering if the Ziegels Church has similar information. I am particularly looking for info in Reichard, Shank and Kashner families. Thanks, Louise Graham Luke 409 S. Buckingham Rd. Yorktown IN 47396

    3. Geri, Thank You so much. I have a story to tell. In the rebuilt Lowhill church, in the hall way is a five drawer file cabinet. In the bottom drawer is a book that lists all the baptisms etc. from 1764 into the 1800s. It is in German and it is a real thrill to hold this ancient book but sad to see how it is being cared for. The book has been transcribed and all it's info. is in Ancestry.com. I wrote the Pastor at the church (part time) trying to get some interest in preserving the book, no response. I wrote the Lehigh Genological Society, no response but in a follow up letter they said they couldn't fool with it as they are focusing their time and efforts on an expansion project. The new has priority over the old in a Geneology society? 3. Geri- Is there something missing from the entry, below? It seems as if both paragraphs talk about George Warner, but in the first para, his wife is Mary Rummage and they had 8 children. In the second para, he married Elizabeth Anglemoyer and they had 8 children too, but the names don't match. Originally, I thought the first one was Sr. and the second Jr., but that would make Sr's birth year ca. 1765 (in order to have fathered a son b. 1790), unlikely to have a son who was a Civil War soldier a century later. Is there an explanation? Marilyn Subject: Re: [PANORTHA-L] George Warner > For several generations the Warner family has made its home in the state > of PA. 3. I have twelve people named George Warner (and 39 named John WArner) in my database, most of these in Northampton or surrounding counties. None matches your information. You should consider any "Warner" in Bushkill as really being a "Werner" and a descendant of Jacob Werner. Look for this descendancy on familytreemaker.com and elsewhere. This is available many places. They did have a number of men named George in early years. 3. I am seeking the exact dates of birth and death for my gr-grandfathers brother. If the census information is correct he was born in Sept. of 1892. Although the family lived in Lehigh Twp. at the time, I have not been able to find a baptismal record. He died in 1902, but I don't know when or where he was buried. The place of death could have been either Lehigh Twp. or Fountain Hill. The family moved to Fountain Hill sometime before 1910.Thank you for any assistance. 3. Ziegel Church, the territory of Ziegel's church lay between the extremes of Long Swamp and Lynn township. The proper organization was effected in 1745. The old church record registers baptisims in the thirties of the last century. In 1747 the Rev. Michael Schlatter visited Ziegel Church on his missionary traveles to the German Reformed congregations of PA, also Maxatawny in Oley, and Egypt in Whitehall. The Ziegel, then called Macungie, and Allemange (Ebenezer, the congregation in Kistler's Valley, was a Lutheran church), and Schmalzgas (the congreation of Salisbury township) were classed by Schlatter as the 12th pastoral charge. In 1749 the congregation met and resolved to build their first church. July 29, 1750, the church was dedicated by the Rev. Phillipp Jacob Michael, Reformed minister, Rev. Jacob Friederich Schertlein, Lutheran minister, as a Union Church for the Reformed and Lutherans. Among the families that organized the congregation were Adam Braus, Ludwig Reichard, Bernhard Schmidt, Nicholas Mayer, Peter Haas, Jorch Schaefer, Karl Oorn, Urban Friebel, Johannes Merkel, Daniel Krausz, Michael Hotz, Johannes Hergerther, Egitticus Grimm, Zacharias Heller, Friedrich Windisch, Adam Weber, Georg Bayer, Johann N.
