Geri, I always read your emails with great anticipation......and although most of the emails do not pertain to my family, I find the information to be quite enlightening and valuable. I greatly appreciate your efforts in forwarding such information on to us all. One thing that I have pondered is this....where is it that you get this info? By that I mean, for the most part, does it come from courthouse records, readings or what? It appears that you spend countless hours in your efforts and you are truly a generous person to share your finds with others. It's people like you who are a constant reminder to me that if only more people could be so caring, the world could be a better place. Thank you. Hi, folks...... Marshall Lake recently organized a group of us (Sharon Rhodes, Bob Lanterman, Wendy A. Heitzman, Marilyn Souders, John DeHart, Barbara Heutchy, Nora, Mickey Baldwin, Bob Riddle, Alice Parr, Marshall and me) to type an every-name index for the 1874 Beers Atlas (with homeowners' names). There are two places you can find this index. On Marshall's site, the index is at http://mlake.net/book-indexes/Beers1874WarrenCo/. On my site, there are links to the index on the same page that has links to the map pages: http://www.raub-and-more.com/maps/atlasindex.html. I've added page numbers to the list of towns so that you stand a better chance of finding your ancestors on the maps. Enjoy! Jan Reuther http://www.RAUB-and-more.com

Hello, . Was wondering if there is anyone on the list who might be related to John Wetzel and Johanna Jane Jarrett? I am trying to find one final piece of my Wetzel puzzle to confirm that the Daniel Wetzel son of the above couple is the same Daniel Wetzel who changed his surname to Wetsel served in the 12th VA Regiment of the Continental Army, married an Elizabeth (Johnson) Lefuse and later settled in Fayette Co., PA. The other piece of the puzzle is that the granddaughter of Daniel Wetsel/Wetzel, Jane Whetsel, married her 2nd cousin, Stephen Whetzel. This means that Stephen's grandfather was a brother of Daniel Wetsel/Wetzel. Does anyone have the name Stephen in any of their Wetzel lines? Hi everyone, I just sent out a large amount of information to lists regarding my various family branches. Unfortunately, at least three people have emailed me and said they could not access a link (one person mentioned the Bible pages-no specific links were listed in the another email). A few minutes ago, I checked the Vigo County web site where the Bible records and 5 generation photo are located on rootsweb. I received a message asking for patience, as the Indiana site was being worked on. I apologize for this trouble, and hopefully, all is corrected now. I have checked each link, and I was able to access each one. If you STILL have troubles: Please email me and tell me which link you were trying to access, so I can contact the admins of the site where the items are located. Most sites are on rootsweb, so maybe rootsweb is having a problem? To access my GEDCOM, if you still have problems: Go to www.rootsweb.com Click on Family Trees Scroll down to where it says Go or jump to a specific database: type lynnz in the box To access the King Bible pages and 5 generation photo of Angeline HOLLENBACH, Polly HOLLENBACH KING and later descendants: Go to www.usgenweb.com Click on theThe Project's State Pages Click on Graphical Map Click on the state of Indiana Click on county sites Click on Vigo Click on enter here Click on Vigo Co Photos (if you click here, next, scroll down until it says Lenne 5 generations to get the Hollenbach 5 generation photo) OR Click on Bible records to view Anna KING PRATHER's Bible records I sincerely apologize for anyone having trouble. These items are posted on rootsweb sites, and one should be able to access them by a simple link. I am not the admin for any of the sites mentioned in my email. However, the Rootsweb site may be having problems. Please let me know if you have problems. Thank you, Lynn
I apologize in advance to those of you who may get duplicates of this, if you are on various lists in PA, which are associated with the lines I am researching. Surnames: HOLLENBACH, WAGNER, KING, HEINLY, PRATHER, BECKER, HUBER, JUNG Locations: Northumberland County, PA; Schuylkill County, PA; Berks County, PA; Union County, PA; Northampton County, PA; Lehigh County, PA, Terre Haute, Vigo County, IN; Evansville, Vanderburgh County ,IN; and IL My 4th great grandparents: Isaac HOLLENBACH (b. about 1836 d. before 1910). Isaac was born in Pennsylvania and married Angeline/Angelina (listed as Evgaline or something like that in the 1860 Berks County census). I am trying to locate Angeline's maiden name. She was born about 1840 in Pennsylvania and died in 1925 in Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana. Their four children, all born in Berks County, Pennsylvania and baptized at Saint Michael's Church, Tilden Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania: Magdalena Catharine HOLLENBACH b. April 26, 1858 Saran Ann HOLLENBACH b. April 26, 1858 in PA (note: I believe Sarah died at a young age, as she did not appear with the family in the 1860 census, and no later records regarding her have been found by me yet) John Llewellyn HOLLENBACH b. July 01, 1827 Upper Mahantongo Township, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania). She was the great-granddaughter of Hans Jacob WAGNER and Anna Maria JUNG-please see GEDCOM link below for more information. Isaac and Angeline HOLLENBACH moved their family to West Buffalo Township, Union County, PA around 1870. Polly and her husband, with their children, moved to Indiana by 1900. Some KING family members were in Illinois at an earlier date. Angeline followed her daughter to Indiana after 1910. She must be a strong lady, as she was in her mid to late 70s when she made the move to join her daughter in Indiana! Angeline shows up with Polly and family in the 1920 census in Vigo County, IN. Does anyone know if the tombstone inscriptions have been published? Marie
Geri - Don't know if I've sent my appreciation for your posts before. If not, please know that I'm sending it now. I always read them carefully when I see your name attached. A few months ago there was a post for the will of a Jacob Oswalt (Osvalse, Oswaldt, and more) which included David among the children and heirs. I was leaving for an extended vacation so printed out the post and saved it so that I could do further research upon my return. I've returned and alas, can find neither. I've been to Rootsweb and looked in all the archives I could think where the post might be. I'm almost sure the will was executed in Northampton and was posted on that list, but I could not find it in the archives. I believe the David mentioned in Jacob's will could be my gggrandfather who was born ca 1810. I've been unable to find David Oswalt's birthplace or his parents, so I'm anxious to follow up on your post. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Best regards, Jan Topliff
