    3. Best way to say thanks to all is to tell every one, how much I truly appreciate all the extra effort people gave for me to do what I wanted to do. I had been going mad for several years looking for info concerning my GGG Grandfather, (Born in 1746 Gernmany), Ludwig Mentzinger/Mensinger steadily for more than 3 years. Many peple answered general questions and some specific and I have finally got him into a much smaller area and it looks as if success will come one day. Perhaps even soon. What has been done is wonderfula in and of itself. I did what I set out to do plus much more Several years ago,I had distinct doubts of ever accomplishing my goal of finding my Grandfather's Grandfather. Now I have not only found out who he was but in addition have discovered his GGG Grandfather born before 1690 in Eppingen,Germany Grace Gleason, Kim Duncan-Egan, Pat Davis, Gert Mysliwski, Geri Brenan, Cristal Ritter and Barb Lavin, all deserve great and numerous thanks for caring enough to share their wisdom and experience. Looking back...It was also fun.... Gert was the first to suggest books and pamphlets by A. K. Burgert which helped considerably. I am certain that I have left out someone since there have been many hours gone by since the end of 1999 when I started on this apparent "crusade" to accomplish a single aim. Folks.. It is not quite done yet but the last one, I really needed, Ludwig, born in Germany in 1746, is inside a box between Mainville and Mifflenville about half way and the rest should go much more easily. (I have also got the name of his Grandfather, Johann Martin Mentzinger, born before 1690, and his wife and children as well.) I may have Ludwig, of 1746, trapped.... Finally. And I have the names of his children as well... And my Grandfather's Grandfather, also named Ludwig (b. 1786), is named on that list with the correct birthday and all... Thanks again for all your help. I never could have done it with out Roots Web and all the fine people on board. Lee J.
