He died in Richland township about 1816. He married Margaret Jacobi, whose parents were also early settlers of Bucks Co, they where the parents of 11 children. Frederick, married ___Eckhart, and they had 7 children; Elizabeth married Stephen Knizeley, and they had 5 children; Margaret, married John Weisel and had 10 children; Catharine married Isaac Bean; Henry, married __ Messimer, Andrew Jr., married Mary Mickley, Magdalena married Jacob Bean; John married John Hinkle and they had 11 children; Mary, married Philip Rumflied and they had 4 children; Susanna never married. John Snyder, 7th child of Andreas and Margaret (Jacobi) Schneider, he died about August, 1844. His wife Elizabeth Hinkle, d/o John, who owned the farm the adjoining farm. Children of John and Elizabeth (Hinkle) Snyder; William H. who married Catharine Heist, he died before his father, leaving two children (Charles and William); John H., married Anna Groover; Tobias H., unmarried; Lydia died young; Sarah, died unmarried; Amos H., married Mary Blank; Caroline, married George Brong, Thomas, married Sarah Erdman, Catharine, married Samuel Cressman, and Joseph H., died unmarried.     3. Greenwalt, Horace, F., was born May 11, 1876, in York, son of Henry and Eleanor C. (Fishel) Greenwalt. He (Henry) died at age 59. Children; Juliet E., Charles A. and Horace F., who married Minnie Dietz, d/o Edmund Dietz. He belonged to the 1st Moravian Church. Smith, Clayton, D. was born Sept 23 1874 in Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County, s/o Adam H. and Mary J. (Kunkle) Smith The Smith family orginated in Germany, and the York County branch was planted in America about the year 1700 by 2 brothes, John and Peter Smith, who settled at Lancaster, in the valley of Conestogo Creek. They lived there till 1720, when they came to York. John became the father of, Jacob, Emanuel, Gabriel and Salome. Peter became the father of, Samuel, Henry, Abraham, Peter, George, Hannah, Elizabeth, and Catharine. These children grew to maturity, intermarred with some of the foremost families in York, Lancaster, Adams and Cumberland Counties, and their descendants today under such names as, Nathcer, Zimmerman, Myers, Newcomer, Chronister, Brown, Ernst, Fickel, Butts, McReary, Bower, Wheler, and Smith. II Jacob Smith, son of John, married Elizabeth Smith, third daughter of Peter, children, 1. Joel, married widow Polly Bower, he died without issue, 2, John, married Nancy Roller, and their children were (William of Lewisberry, Levi, of Reading township, who died leaving 8 boys, Anna who married Peter Coble of York, Elizabeth who married Joseph Kunkle, of Cashtown, Adams Co., John of Alpine, Ephraim of Hall, PA., Rebecca, married Edward Brillhart, Moses of Highsspire, Lancaster Co. and Josiah). 3. Mary, married George Myers and became the mother of 1 son and 4 daughter, (George moved to Ohio, and died aged 83, Polly who married ___Dull,moved to Adams Co., Margaret married ___Bream,moved to Adams Co., Mary who married __Myers, who moved to Mich., Harriet married __Bream, who moved to Adams Co.) 4. Anna died unmarried. 5. Gabriel, who married twice, by his first wife he had children ( Joseph, Jacob, Louis, Sarah, Susn, Barbara, Lydia who moved to Winchester, VA and Louisa) 6 Peter J., 7. Jacob, 8. Rebecca, who married a Newcomer, 9. Darius, never married. Sloat, William H., was born July 8, 1870, in East Manchester township where his father and grandfather lived and died. The latter had 4 children, Henry, Eliza, who lived in Lancaster, a son, killed in the Civil war, and Samuel Samuel Sloat, born in E. Manchester, married Emma Hake, d/o Andrew C.     2. Susan GRADWOHL, d/o Mary Ann GROTZ & John GRADWOHL, was b. in either 1846 or 1847, Northampton Co., PA (In 1850 census >age 4, in 1880 census>age 33). She m. Ephraim BAUER ca. 1870. See also information from Robert James Bower, Jr. and see the Scarberry/King GEDCOM at rootsweb.com by Clifford Scarberry. In the 1880 census this family is listed as BOWER in Forks Township. I did not find them in the 1890 census substitute for Northampton Co. Their children were: Anna F. b. 1871 Wilson H. b. 1874 d.1959, m. Cula M Graver (?)     2. Mary Ann Grotz was b. PA in ~1814, most likely in Northampton Co. In the census she is 1850> age 37; 1870> age 56; 1880> age 66. On 4/28/1839 she married John Gradwohl (1814-1882). (Thanks to Kathy Ellen DiMenchi for the exact wedding date) In 1890 Mary Ann was living with her son Adam & his family on McCartney St. in Easton. Mary Ann lived until after November of 1904 (son Adam's dod); her exact dod not yet found. She was a member of the German Reformed Church. In 1900 she told the census taker that she had had 7 births, and that 5 or her children were then living. Sarah Ann 1840 m. Simon Raesner "of Warren Co., N.J." Maria Catherine (aka Mary C.) 1843-1929 m. Amandus Schug (thanks to Kenneth Schug for info. on this line) Adam 1851-1904 m. Priscilla Lerch (my line) Levi 1854-1855 Martha 1857 m. James Stem Unknown daughter d.bfr 1880? m. ? Frey, had son Irwin (Irvin?) Frey ~1875 (In 1880 Irwin is living w/John & Mary Ann in Easton) Susan m. Ephraim Bauer Her parents were probably either John & Catherine Grotz (aka Krotz) or Issac & Hannah Grotz (Krotz). Easton Reformed Church bapt records of 1813 & 1817. He married at Neshaminy Presbyterian Church, May 19, 1793 to Elizabeth Dungan, d/o Jeremiah and Ann (Whitton) Dungan of Northampton township, Bucks Co. Widow lived in Madison, IL 1878-79 Rev. War Ramer, Henry, wife Mary, soldier applied 1832 Dearborn, IN aged 82, soldier lived in Northampton Co., PA at enlistment at which time he signed as Henry Ramer Sr., widow applied in Dearborn aged 85. Soldier's oldest son, Peter Ramer made aff'dt 1842 in Ripley, IN and stated that he was aged 53 and that his oldest sister if living would be aged 64 or 65, a Henry and Caty Parker made aff'dt in Dearborn, IN. and they referred to soldier's family records being written in Dutch and the said Caty Parker was born in Rowan, NC and the said Henry Parker was born in Lincoln, NC and they stated that soldier had lived in both counties. Soldier had married Mary (?) while soldier was in the service (widow thought 1777) and their 1st child died at 18mths. Soldier died 1 Dec 1835. A son Henry Ramer, Jr., aged 46 made aff'dt in 1840, Dearborn and stated that he was the 8th child of soldier and widow. Widow died 28 March 1849 and one Johnson Watts was adm'r of her estate and stated that she left children; Susan Whelston, Polly Spangler, Mary Helm, Peter Ramer, Ule Whelston, Henry Ramer, and Betsy Johnson Huffman, Philip, VA Line, soldier was killed in battle and left no issue and his eldest brother was Peter Huffman who had died leaving heirs . Sarah Henry, a widow, Catharine, wife of Joseph Stover, Mary, wife of Joseph Zea or Zia, Susan, wife of Christoper Spangler, Elizabeth, wife of Benjamin Bean, Alfred, Edward and John Huffman and also a Philip Huffman (deceased), the soldier's neice Elizabeth died leaving children towit; John Bean and Eliza, wife of James Orndorph. The soldier's nephew, Philip Huffman died leaving a daughter, Sarah Jane Camron, James or as James Cameron, wife Ann or Anna C. VA Line, soldier lived in Shenandoah, VA at enlistment. Soldier applied 1832 Floyd Co., KY aged 74, soldier married Ann Spangler 20 July 1784 and soldier died 25 Oct 1838, widow applied 1846 in Tazewell Co.VA aged 84. In 1848 she stated that she was 92. In 1846 Ducan Cameron was witt. in Tazewell, VA Ditty, John, Mary Ann, PA Line, soldier was born in Lancaster Co., PA. and lived in York Co., PA at enlistment and in 1791 soldier lived in Norwich township, York Co., PA and later moved to Staunton, VA. Soldier married in 1782 to Magdalena (also shown as Mary Ann) Spangler in Lancaster Co., PA. Soldier died 1845 White County, TN aged 86 and she died there 1 Nov 1849. Children; Mary or as Anna Maria, born 1783, Susan, 1786, Elizabeth 1788, Catharine, 1790, Abraham, 1792, John, 1802, the 1st child Mary was recorded at St. John's in Abbotstown in Adams Co., PA and she was baptized 29 Nov 1783 and Peter and Dorothea Ickes were her sponsors. In 1850 surviving children were; Abraham of White Co. TN, John, Susan Twigg or Trigg, Elizabeth Rash, also heir living in AL were mentioned but not named. The following were shown but relationship not stated; One Henry and George Icks both of Abbottstown, PA and the said George's father was Peter Icks of that town, the relationship to Icks not stated.     3. I have just spent the day photographing early church records from St. Paul's Lutheran (North Bangor), Grace Lutheran (East Bangor), and Bethany Church (Stier, or Johnsonville). These three churches combined in the 1970s to become Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, which was built on the site of the razed Bethany Church. I will be transcribing these records over the next year and can do limited lookups as time permits.
