    1. [PANORTHA-L] RIEGEL--possible KRESSLER connection?
    2. Hello, I am looking for any information which would help me to find the surname the mother of my third great grandfather John R. KRESSLER. John R. was the son of George KRESSLER and Elizabeth UNKNOWN. I am wondering if Elizabeth might have been Elizabeth RIEGEL daughter of John RIEGEL and Anna Maria LUDWIG. John R. was born in 1803 and died in 1859. He married Anna Catharina RAUB whose father Jacob RAUB owned 83 acres iof land in Riegelsville, PA. Generally, the families lived in Bucks and Northampton Counties in PA, and Hunterdon, Warren and Burlington Counties in NJ. I have been told that John RIEGEL died in 1840 in Lower Saucon Twp in Northampton County. His will supposedly does not name his surviving children but I have not viewed a copy of that yet. I have found little information on this family so far. Another daughter of John RIEGEL and Anna Maria LUDWIG was the sponser at the baptism of one of the sons of George and Elizabeth KRESSLER. Any information or ideas are greatly appreciated. Thank you. Kathy Karn

    3. I haven't had any luck tracing Aaron Olewine b. May 3,1818 d. Feb. 4. 1904. I was unable to connect him to any of the Olewine's from Northampton Co. The first record I have of him is attending Frieden's Reformed Church in April, 1832. He then appears in the Washington Twp., Lehigh Co. censuses from 1840-1890. He was a blacksmith in the Frieden's/Newhards area. The only other Olewine family he may be connected to is the following: 1930 Lynn Twp., Lehigh Co., census: Michael, Head of household b.bet. 1790-1800, wife born bet. 1780-1790. Female b. bet. 1815-1820, male b. bet. 1815-1820, female b.bet. 1820-1825, male b.bet. 1820-1825 & female b. bet. 1825 & 1830.
