    1. [PANORTHA] HORN, George; son of Jacob & Maria
    2. I am trying to connect my George HORN to other HORN families in SE PA. There are several large HORN families in Northampton, Bucks, Lehigh and Carbon counties but I have not been able to definitively connect my George with any of them. HORN, George was born April 16-17, 1820 in PA and died August 24-25, 1867 per a burial record of Christ Lutheran Church, Freemansburg; Northampton Co. Per his burial record he was the son of Jacob and Maria Horn. George HORN married Susan WARG, daughter of John Warg and Elizabeth Withman in 1843 in Bethlehem. This information was obtained from the obituary of Susan Warg Horn who died 1884. 1850 census places George and Susan and their children Jno (John), W(alter) S, A(lice?), and B(? Baby?) in Bethlehem. He was a tailor. I have full information on all of George and Susan's children (several born after 1850). There are no other Horns in Bethlehem in 1850, and none in Bethlehem in any earlier census. Apparently George came to Bethlehem shortly after the community was opened to non-Moravians. Susan Warg Horn's obituary says that her husband was of Pennsburg, Montgomery Co but I have not found any record of Horns in that area (NE) of Montgomery County. There is a HORN family in Lower Merion, Montgomery Co but I have not been able to connect my George to this family, either. There are a Jacob and Maria Horn in E Penn, Northampton Co in 1840 who have a son named Jacob but he is said to have been born in 1810. Any new leads would be much appreciated! Molly M

    3. The George surname is related to my family, and they lived in Moore twp. My ggg-gf's daughter Magdalena "Polly" Reese (1815-after 1880) married Elias George (1812-between 1870-1880). Their children were: Salome/Sarah Ann George (1833-1922) who married Daniel Schlegel (1833-before 1920); Joseph George (1838-1913) who married Sarah Rauch (1842-1881) and moved to Nebraska; and Lucy Ann George (1841-1924) who married Charles Barthol/Barthold (1842-between 1910-1920). Any descendants of these families on the list? Shirley

Adam BECHTOLD in about 1865. I believe the parents of both came from Germany--but I don't know when. Everything I have indicates they only lived in NewYork-New Jersey, but now I'm wondering if they (or Barbara's parents) actually lived in Pennsylvania. Does anyone recognize any of these names? 2. diane adams
    3. Jacob WEAVER is one of my ancestors and his birthdate is mentioned in many reports as 1746. However, in trying to find the primary source they all seem to refer back to an SAR application which is fraught with many errors. Does anyone have better evidence - perhaps church records - which would have more accurate data? There was likely more than one Jacob Weaver (sometimes Weber) and so that you have the right one - his father may be Christian Weaver; he married Hannah Harrison and moved to Bucks County. P.S. I need info on Hannah also. If you can shed any light on this line I would be most grateful! Thanks in advance. Diane in CO --------------------------------- How low will we go? Check out Yahoo! 1. [PANORTHA] Frantz
    2. The following information is from the "History of Ischua, New York" by Sally Squire Pettengill: Several families from Northampton County (now Monroe County) migrated to Cattaraugus County, New York in the 1820's, among them were Conrad, Learn, Frantz, Flyte, Shafer, Young, Miller and Raub families. In 1823 Peter Frantz arrived in Cattaraugus County. Johannes Peter Frantz was born October 14th, 1783, and was baptized at the Hamilton Church. His parents were Jacob and Susannah Conrad Frantz, and the sponsors at his baptism were his maternal grandparents, Peter and Veronica Heller Conrad, who were also the parents of John and Henry Conrad. Peter's wife, Margaret Silvius Frantz, was born about 1786 and died before 1865. They had eight children: Margaret, also known as Fanny, who married Thomas Lockwood; Edward, Linford, and Sarah, who married Amasa J. Wilbur. Elias may have been another son. Three of the above children were born in Lower Smithfield, PA. The family apparently moved there from the Hamilton area before going to Cattaraugus County. There is more information on the above families in this book. Judy

    3. Hi, It was one year ago to the day - Oct. 11/05, when I walked out of Philadelphia Archives with copies of Christian Schneider and Frederick Schneider's wills. I believe this Christian Schneider is my ancestor, although I'm still trying to prove it! Geri knows I've been researching this family for several years, and have found some baptismal records for the children of Henry Frantz [Fans] and Veronica [Fronich] Schneider on the LDS microfilm for First Reformed Church of Philadelphia. Christian and his son, Frederick, were both buried from that church, and Frederick died in the 1793 yellow fever epidemic. If my research is of interest to anyone, I can share it offline. There appears to be a direct connection between Christian Schneider and Old Goshenhoppen Lutheran and Reformed congregation, and St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Red Hill, Montgomery Co. Cheers, Pat Snider Armstrong Mississauga, ON Canada. ----- Original Message ----- From: "geri brennan" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]>; <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, October 11, 2006 12:33 PM Subject: Re: [PANORTHA] franz/frantz and others

Phillip is buried at the Stone Church near Kriedersville, and I have photos of his tombstone, as well as Michael's tombstone at Christ Church (Little Moore) Cemetery. Phillip's stone is very hard to read, so the pictures aren't very helpful. Michael was a Revolutionary War veteran, so his stone is marked.
