    3. Georgette, Thanks a million on the Warner's. Would you by any chance have a record of the next census regarding, again the WARNER surname? If I could see who is missing, I know of two places they could have moved to, and perhaps pin things down a bit. Many, many thanks, L. Hoffman was a very common name in Germany and in PA. I have John Hoffman born 1829 in Germany. On his death certificate is states that George Hoffman/Huffman was his Father. I do not have a Mary Elizabeth (Marillas) Hoffman in my database. Maureen in CA above this question. Sue, sent a lot of information on the Hoffman. Sue, I don't see anything on a George or John Hoffman in that information. John Hoffman was in Maryland in 1854 when his first son was born. John Hoffman and his second wife Margaretha Muller/Miller moved to Marion County, Iowa around 1870. Nicholas Hoch and his family moved to Marion County, IA about the same time. Nicholas Hoch wife was Catharine Baeirlipp b 1818 Bavaria, Germany. On John Hoffman death certificate it states that his Mother's maiden name was Baeirlipp. John's Mother and Catherarine Baeirlipp could have been sisters. Just going by dates and can not prove. In Marion Co., IA John Hoffman daughter Louisa Hoffman, born in PA, married Jacob Smith. Louisa and Jacob were my grgrandparents. This is where the Smith is connected to the Hoffman. Smith is a very common name to research. The Hoffman's could have been in Indiana for awhile. My grgrgrandfather Jacob Smith, SR enlisted in the Mexican War in 1847 at Brookville, Franklin Co., IN. One of John Hoffman son's John K. Hoffman b 1860 Bucks Co., PA maried Philomena Bauer in Logansport, Indiana in 1908. Baerlipp is spelled several different ways. The name could have been Baerliss. 3. I checked the obit index for the 1950's at the Bethlehem Library site - http://www.bapl.org/lochist/news/lhnews1.htm -no Cora Reed Simons, but there is a John Simons. Do you know where her children were buried? You can often find the burial place of a parent by finding out where all of her children are buried. Was she Catholic, Lutheran, Presbyterian? That would help narrow down the cemetery. 1. [PANORTHA] Cora Reed Simons/Northampton Co, PA
    2. Joe and Stephanie Grohol
    3. HI... I am trying to find a death date for Cora Reed Simons....and possibly and obituary for Cora Reed Simons...she was my great grandmother..... She was born Oct 1872 in PA to William H. Reed and Sarah C. Brader....she married Stewart (Steward) Simon(s)....spelled both ways..... I have several obituaries...one for her husband and several for her children.....she is alive in her husband, Stewart's obit when he died in Feb of 1937.....in Freemansburg....when her son, Mervin died in Jan 1948 in Northampton Co, PA...she was still alive and living in Freemansburg, PA..... In another obituary for her son, Jacob A. Simons, he died in May 1964, she wasn't alive....so Cora had to have died between 1948 and 1964.... I did go to the Easton Public Library to see if I could find anything on her but I did not find anything in their obit indexes....so I am assuming that she wasn't listed in the Easton Public Library obits info...but she could be elsewhere....I did find an obit for an obit for a Cora Reed...but it wasn't her..... My mother vagely remembers her when she was abt 7 or so...and thinking she had to have died sometime in the 1950's....we were thinking 1957/1958...but not too sure..... These are her children that would be listed in her obit as survivors: Horace Simons John Simons Alice Thornton Mary Margaret Libenguth Archibald or Archie Simons Catherine Fry Jacob Simons Gilbert Simons Dorothy E. Smith (my grandmother) Would appreciate any help in locating a death date and an obituary....plus possibly where she was buried.....thank you or any help that anyone can provide..... Joseph B. Grohol Jr

    3. Thank you to all that responded to my e-mail subject names. Thank you all again. Bev Jones
