    2. A question re Schwenk/Swank. My gggfr REUBEN RAMSEY, b. 1842, Reading, PA, served in the 93rd PA Inf. After the war, though wounded, he survived and then moved to the area of DANVILLE, IL. There his first wife was named MARY SWANK. As happened in those times, Mary died soon after their first child, CARA L'DORA RAMSEY, was born. (would that have been pre-Semmelweis?) I was just starting to get my notes together for a trip to the library to see if I could trace Mary's SWANK family back to PA. It makes sense to me that two immigrants from PA might just find each other in IL. Then came Geri's neat contribution... For any SWANK researchers who have those magnificent trees, would you look to see if you show a Mary Swank m. Reuben Ramsey, in IL about 1870? -----Original Message----- >From: geri brennan <[email protected]> >Sent: Jan 16, 2007 11:02 AM >To: [email protected], [email protected] >Subject: [PABERKS] Schwenk/Swank-very long > >hi richard, for your records >war of 1812 >swank >george, srv. capt brown, ohio mil >SNIP<
