Legion District Fete Washington, Pa., May 6--Plans for the banquet in honor of Past Commanders of the 25th District, American Legion, at the George Washington Hotel, Tuesday evening, May 9, were practically completed at a meeting of post commanders and other officials held at the home of Edwin Scott LINTON Post No. 175. With reservations for more than 300 already made, it was announced that applications would not be accepted after next Saturday, May 6. Horace M. BEATTY, City Building, Washington, is chairman of the ticket committee. Indications point to a record attendance. In addition to the former district commanders, prominent state and district officials of the American Legion and Auxiliary will be in attendance as follows: State Commander Frank X. MURRAY, Scranton Mrs. Harry W. PIPER, Altoona, state president of Auxiliary; Edward A. LINSKY, Philadelphia, state adjutant; Robert MALCOLM, Curtisville, western vice commander; Mrs. George GUY, Canonsburgh, western vice president of Auxiliary; Mrs. Leonard J. BRADLEY, Braddock, Auxiliary western director; Mrs. Harriet WAGNER, Charleroi, Tri-County Council president; Mrs. Arthus BEAVER, Dravosburg, past department president of auxiliary; James MURRAY, Forest City, Americanism chairman; Matty BAIN, Uniontown and Rev. Father Francis HOFFMAN, Avella, district chaplain. Commissioner John N.
