My ggg grandfather, John GIBSON, born about 1799, probably in Scotland. Arrived in the Mon Valley approximately 1830-1840, Married Rebecca CRITES. They lived across the river from Monongahela, right along the river, where the old Monongahela bridge used to be, until they lost their home in the "Great Flood" (I'm not sure when this was, maybe someone can help me with this date.) After the flood, I think they moved across the river, into Monongahela.
