    3. Ed & Lists: Knowing there have been requests for information concering the SEESE surname (as well as MILLER) I am sending this to the posts, as well as individually. I have been reading the Washington Pa newspapers on microfilm through interlibrary loan, and have read since 1850 to 1938 and have maintained a database of various information which may relate to my research for myself and others. I hope it will be of help to someone. This is not a line I am personally researching. Nancy Giles Harold Miller, Of This City, Drowns - Wading In Ohio River Near New Metamoras, W. Va. He Is Caught And Carried Under By Swift Current - Was Working On Highway - Harold Miller, 24, who left Washington in May to go to Ohio to seek work, was drowned in the Ohio River yesterday near New Metamoras, W. Va. while wading with several com-panions, none of whom could swim. The accident occurred on the Ohio side of the river. The youth was a son of Mrs. Charles Seese, Washington, R. D. 6. His father, Harold E. Miller, a painter, died six years ago. In a letter to his mother recently he explained that he had obtained work on the roads near Fly, O. and that he would begin work when the high water had receded. He had been staying with an uncle and aunt, Mr and Mrs. Cecil Timmons. Miller, a Timmons boy, and Ben Jones went into the river early in the afternoon and had been wading about half an hour when the strong current swept Miller away. The body was recovered about 30 minutes later 100 yards down the river, by Tex Talbott and Bill Hazlip, of Fly, Ohio. After trying artificial respiration for 40 minutes, a doctor pronounced Miller dead. Members of the West Virginia Heat, Light & Power Company's life-saving crew, however, worked on him for several hours after with an in-halator. Surviving in addition to his mother, are a number of brothers and sisters: Mrs. Daniel Varner, 139 West Pine avenue and Myra Miller, Francis Miller, Ruth Miller and Roy Miller, with their mother. The body will be brought to Washington late today and removed to the home of his sister, Mrs. Varner, where funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Burial will be in Washington Cemetery. The Washington Observer, Washington, PA 14 Aug 1935
