Subject: RAYMER-HEVEKER-McCARTY-HOHMAN-HOWLEY My g grandfather, John Raymer, descendent of George Conrad Raymer (Romer) came to the USA from Langd, Germany via Johnstown. He moved to Dravosburg, PA and was married to Elizabeth West. They had several children, of which my grandfather, Bertram Albert Raymer was one. He married Louise Heveker and they lived on Hartman Street in McKeesport. Louise was the daughter of August Heveker and Louise Meier. Louise had a brother August who was a detective in McKeesport and died in Fort Worth, Texas. If anyone is researching this Raymer family, I was handed down a wealth of information and will share it - hopefully you have some things I could add to it. Willard McCarty was born in Scotland in 1875 and immigrated to the USA via Wheeling,WV, where he met and married my gram, Mary Cecelia Hohman, born 12-1886, d/o Catherine Howley, (unsure of father's first name, however, he died during a rescue attempt in one of the Wheeling floods - maybe a John Hohman?) Catherine was born in Ireland in 1864, possibly in the county of Sligo. Catherine is buried in the Mt. Calvery Cemetery on the Howley plot along with an uncle of mine, Charles and many other Howley's. Willard S. (Mac) and Mary Cecelia (Mame) Hohman McCarty lived on Camp Street in McKeesport before moving to Westmoreland County in the 1940's, where Willard took up farming. Any help in info on any of these people will be greatly appreciated, as I have no relatives left to ask questions of.
