hi folks... The following message came from a non-subsciber, please send return messages to Cora <[email protected]>, AND CC: to the list. Cora will be joining the list in the future. Thanks, Mike << In a message dated 11/11/99 4:28:40 PM, [email protected] writes: << I would like to know if anyone is researching this line. [EVANS] >> I am not directly cncerned with the EVANS line, but I am wondering IF you have ever come across a John EVANS --- who would have still been alive in 1923? The sister of my ggGrandmother: Sophia WHEYL/WEYEL/WILE/WEIL/WILD [many different spellings on various official records!] died in 1923 and her obituary mentions her sister only as Mrs. John Evans of Dravosburg, PA. Sophia was 74 when she died and had come to the USA in 1852 as a very young child. Her obit also mentions her brothers [whose surname they spell as WEYEL]: John, Frederick, George and William. Sophia and her husband Peter CLINTNER lived in McKeesport, PA. So they are in the same vicinity as the EVANS you are seeking. Any connections? Cora <[email protected]> >>
