    1. [PAMONVAL] KIDD family of Allegheny Co.
    2. I don't have much info on the KIDD family and if you have more, please send it on. Cora ========================================================= Name: Ida May KIDD --------------------------------------------- We know nothing about Ida May or her family, but there is an article in the German newspaper Volksblatt, on August 16, 1877 that says: "John KIDD, also known as Captain KIDD, of McKeesport has been accused in the recent commmotion. ... in a hearing before the Mayor, he was found in default of bail and put into the county jail." And another article [front page ] from the McKeesport Daily News - dated July 2, 1917 about one Winfield S. Kidd - he had a son, Jesse Kidd of East McKeesport. Whether these people are related to Ida May is unknown at this time. Spouse --------------------------------------------- 1: Michael H. CLINTNER Birth: 9 Feb 1852 PA. Death: 28 Feb 1913 Silvis Shops, Rock Is. Co., IL. Age: 61 Death Memo: at 10 a.m. Burial: 2 Mar 1913 Davenport, IA. Burial by Amit E. Danielson, Moline, IL. Occupation: pipefitter Father: Martin CLINTNER/KLINKENER (ca1815-1874) Mother: Margaret CORNYN/CORNIN (1821-1900) Religion: Confirmation at St. Peter's, McKeesport, PA. on Oct. 12, 1867. Occupation: The City Directory 1876 of McKeesport lists a M. H. Clintner who works at the Tube Works, but the same city directory for Dravosburg lists a Michael Clintner who works at J.C. Risher & Co. (Possibly the same company and Michael may have lived in one place and worked in the near-by town, thus getting listed twice.?) Land Records: In 1880, April 1st, M.H. Clintner of Mifflin Twp. sells to Frank W. Clintner of Mifflin Twp. land in Mifflin Twp. for $25. This is M.H.'s share of his father's estate (who died intestate). U.S. Census: of 1870 in Mifflin Township (P.O.Gill Hall) lists Martin Clintner 54 Stone Mason, R.E.value:$1000.; Margaret 49; John (Joseph?) 20 coal miner; Michael 18 coal miner; William (Frank W?)16 coal miner; Mary 13 at home; Anna 10; Agnes 8; Maryann (Margaret ?) 2. U.S. Census: of 1900 lists Michael as M. H. Clintner and living with him are his wife and Mary, his child as well as a James KIDD, boarder [quite possibly Mary's brother]. U.S. Census: of 1910, no longer lists James there, but the other three remain the same. Residence: Michael and his wife moved to Iowa sometime before 1908 as The Pittsburgh Leader has a article on p. 4 Aug. 25th of 1908 that states Mr. & Mrs. Michael Clintner and daughter of Iowa are visiting in Dravosburg. And again on Aug. 29th of 1908, also in The McKeesport News "Mr. & Mrs. M. H. Clinter (sic) and daughter, Marie of Davenport, IA. are visiting the former's sister, Mrs. J. F. Gannon." Other evidence indicates that they lived in Buffalo, Scott Co, Iowa. Obituary: --- Michael CLINTNER --- "Word has been received by Frank Clintner, of Dravosburg, of the sudden death of his brother, Michael, of Western Ave., Davenport, IA. Although he was over one hundred feet away [from] a terrible accident that occurred at the car shops where he was employed, the falling of a crane and killing one man and injuring several others wa too great a shock for Mr. Clintner and he expired while being helped to a car, which was to rush him to the hospital. The deceased was born in Dravosburg [PA.], a son of the late Martin and Margaret Clintner. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, two brothers and three sisters: Peter of Glassport [PA.]; Frank; Mrs. Hollihan and Miss Annie of Dravosburg, and Mrs. Gannon, of this city [McKeesport, Allegehny co., PA.]." >From the McKeesport Daily News of March 5, 1913; p. 4. Death: Michael's place of death is given as "Silvis Shops" in Rock Island County. Last occupation given as: "pipefitter". Lived in state of Iowa for 29 years. This information was supplied by a J. B. Kidd of Canton, Illinois who may be a relative of Ida Kidd, Michael's wife.
