During a visit to the Mt. Tabor Methodist Church in Long Branch, PA, I found and copied this list of members from 1850-1950. Tammy, Thank you for posting this list. There are several of my line posted to this list. They, and their relationships, are: Cynthia Conoway--my great-grandmother Azel Conoway & Wm Conoway--Cynthia's brothers J.A. Rankins--possibly the husband to Cynthia's sister Sarah. Note: A J.A. Rankin (correct spelling) signed an affidavit as to the death date and attending the funeral of Jesse Conaway (correct spelling) in the Civil War pension application of John Conaway, father to Cynthia et. al. Later in those application papers, J.A. Rankin was identified under oath as Jacob Rankin. John Conway's will lists his daughter, Sarah Rankin. Alice Furlong and John Furlong--2 of Cynthia's 7 children Eli Geho--reputed to be the father of Cynthia's first child, my grandmother, Eva Conaway. James Ward--possibly the grandfather to Eli Geho. In the 1860 census Eli was listed as the grandson in the household of a James Warde I find it interesting that none of Cynthia's older children, by Eli, or by her first husband, William Foster, are listed as members of the church. Also, I found the name Lilly Conoway interesting. Cynthia's youngest child was Lilly Furlong, and in all my years of Conaway searching I haven't uncovered a Lilly Conaway. I wonder if this could be Lilly Furlong? As Lilly's mother and father both died while she was very young, perhaps one of her Conaway relatives took her in and she was incorrectly listed as a Conaway?
