I have an ancestor named Susan ROBSON (1861-1948) who married Charles W. KERR (1856-1907), and they had one known son by the name of Maurice KERR (born November 1887). I have found the graves for Susan and Charles in the Richland Cemetery in Dravosburg, PA; along with the graves of her mother and father: Sarah Clarinda & George ROBSON (Mr. Robson's grave is a white military burial stone and there is a GAR marker on the grave.) Between the grave markers for the above KERR couple and the ROBSON couple is a large stone memorial monument of three tiers with a roof type design. On the second tier is noted the word KERR, and mid-peak of the "roof" is a fancy 'K'. The row behind these sets of markers already noted, there are two other KERR grave markers: (I did not record the details when I was there, and so I have to used a magnifying glass on photos taken there!) These two stones are the small "pillow" style and read something like: David Kerr Dec. 10, 1923 (stone on the left, and on the right and facing the large KERR monument is a second marker with:) Mary KERR, Jan. 5, 1860 - Jan. 30, 1923 1900 Federal Census, Allegheny Co., PA; Duquesne Borough ED 367, Sheet 2, Line 74 Entry 35/42; Living on N. Second Street Kerr, Charles W.; born November 1856; 43 years old; parents and self born in PA; wood carpenter; first marriage of 13 years; owns own home Kerr, Susan, wife, born September 1861; parents and self born in PA; age 38 years; marriage 1 of 13 years Kerr, Maurice R., son; born November 1887, age 12 years; born in PA; in school 1910 Federal Census; Allegheny Co., PA; Pittsburgh City; living on Friendship Avenue ED 0377, Sheet 2B; family #39 Kerr, Susan, head of family; 48 years old, widow; birth to 1 child, child still living; parents and self born in PA; rents home Kerr, Maurice, son; 22 years old, born in PA; single; works as a clerk for the Telephone Co. [husband Charles W. dies in 1907) I know from a "Letter of Administration" for the mother of Susan, Sarah C. Robson, in 1920, the address for Susan Kerr is shown as Cleveland, Ohio. I have no knowledge of the KERR family beyond what is noted here, and would love to find out more. I wonder if there are any descendants of the line still alive and also seeking their roots? If anyone recognizes these people, I sure would be interested.
