William Cratty married Francis (Fanny) Jester about 1866 in Coal Bluff Washington County. They were both born @1845. They had 6 children, 3 were still living in 1910, William Jr, Sadie who was widow of a Griffith and James. In 1910 they were living in Pricedale, Rostraver Township. Anyone know when they died or where they are buried or any of their desendants? I am descended from Fanny's brother Samuel Jester. Please help, I have been stuck on Fanny for 11 years! Thank you, Jean jjliving@cobweb.net
Jean, Are you connected to the Butler Co. Pa. mailing list? There are people on that list researching the Cratty line. Some of that line later moved to Ohio. Also, I'm interested in your Jester line. According to Elias Laughlin's Civil War Pension records he married a Della/ Dulana Jester August 1861 at West or East Elizabeth, Allegheny Co., Pa. Their children were Charles born Dec 27, 1861, Elias born May 17, 1866 and William born Feb. 20, 1868. I know son Charles was born in Pa. but at some point after the war Elias and Della/Dulana moved to Ohio. Elias died Oct 17, 1918 in a Soldiers Home at Massillon, Ohio. Della/Dulana had died before this. Any of this familiar to you? Lona lona@pdq.net > William Cratty married Francis (Fanny) Jester about 1866 in Coal Bluff > Washington County. I don't know how much of a help this is, but I went to school (50's) with a girl whose last name was Cratty and a boy whose last name was Jester. I don't remember their first names--I wasn't friends with either--but I think they were both from Roscoe. I remember the Jester boy had red, red hair!
