Hi, There was a gas station, "Gillingham's", in the 200 block of Fallowfield Ave. across from Second Street Elementary School in Charleroi in the 50s, 60s, & 70s--maybe longer. I attended 2nd St. School so remember it well. It was unusual for 2 things--it wasn't on a corner (one or 2 houses away from the corner)and set back from the road only as far as were the houses on either side of it, and there was a live pet monkey in the window.
