James L(ewis) Krepps was the son of Joseph (1800-1878) and Charlotte (?) Krepps. Not sure of their birthplace, but they did live in Allenport. I have run across the name Solomon Krepps before, but have not made a connection. I believe that this Solomon came from the Krepps family that was in the Brownsville area. (The Malden Inn was originally the Krepps Hotel on Krepps Knob. - An Biography from Nelson's Biographical Dictionary and Historical Reference Book of Fayette County. has the family history.
