Obituary: "Mrs. Margaret Copeland died this morning at 3 o'clock am [on 24 Apr 1897] at her home in Versailles Township, near the pike. She had been in poor health for some time, suffering from a complication of ailments. She formerly resided at Boston, PA. and was well-known in this city. Mrs. Copeland was 63 years old and leaves a family of ten children, namely, Mrs. William Fleming, Mrs. Adam Sterner, Joseph and Abner Copeland, Mrs. Amanda Young, Mrs. Patrick Lamb, Mrs. David Serena, Mrs. Walter Jury, Frances and Thomas Copeland. The funeral will take place Monday afternoon; interment at Mt. Vernon Church Cemetery." From: McKeesport Daily News: April 24, 1897. Buried at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Boston, Allegheny Co., PA. There is no mention of any surviving brothers or sisters. But it is very likely that there were some. Margaret's maiden name is unknown [possibly Nichol or Nickle] >From Cora Ott, a descendant.
