High Street or Ridge Pike; I'm not sure where the street changes its name as it passes through the townships). Also, the Limerick Historical Society on Ridge Pike has a fair library of local information. If any of your Pottstown area ancestors were from northern Chester County (the Coventries, the Vincents, Warwick, etc), try the Chester County Historical Society in West Chester (200 block of High Street, which is PA 100). They have a "world class" library (imo) and they do research for a reasonable fee if you can't get there to do it yourself. I got a lot of articles from their clipping files last week; many from Pottstown papers.
