Hello, In several contexts I have seen reference to a petition, written in 1728, to the Governor of PA seeking protection from Indians. Transcriptions which I have seen of this petition (sometimes referred to as the "Petition of Colebrookdale Inhabitants" or some such descriptor) provide the names of many (but not all) of the document's signers and then add something like this: "And numerous others."[List ends here] [REFERENCE: PA Archives 1728, 1:1:214] For example, see http://www.rootsweb.com/~GENHOME/clbrdl.htm I would like to know if anyone on this list has any information on this document which might shed light on the names of "numerous others". Alternatively, perhaps someone on this mailing list might know something about the status of the original document? Thank you in advance, and best wishes for the holidays.
