In the County of Montgomery, November, 1823, there was a "Grand Inquest" on "Joseph LUKENS late of the county aforesaid, wheelright, on the first day of March .... 1823 ... within the jurisdiction of this court, did commit fornication with a certain Mary INGART and a male bastard child on the body of her the said Mary Ingart then and there did beget, contrary to the form of the act of assembly in such case ......."
