Hi: Mary Magdelena Warthman married Johann Christian Sackrider IV in New Hanover in Nov 1758. I know the descendants of that union. I want to know Christian's mother's surname. I believe her to be Mary Elizabeth _________. My guess is that her husband (Christian Sackrider III) deserted and Magdelena (she retained the Sackrider name) and her parents raised Christian IV. A wild guess is that the unknown mother might be a HIRT. I have searched German church records I have never found the marriage of Mary Elizabeth and Christian III which had to occur circa 1731/33 in Philadelphia or environs. Christian III arrived on the Brittania in 1731. I do not know the actual destination of the passengers of that ship, ie. whether some went directly to what is now New Hanover. Fletcher
