This is just a thought but Catholics always like a person to be given the name of a Saint - perhaps that's were the Joseph comes from. It sounds like it was added as an afterthought on the death cert. - after they remembered he was newly baptised! I'm not a Catholic but I never heard of a St. Bartine. Mary Lou
