I have an Elisabeth SCHMIDT, b 29 Oct 1723 in Pfalz, Germany, d 23 Dec 1805 in Franconia Twp., Montgomery Co., PA. Elisabeth married Johan Peter Gerhart b 1716 in Erdesbach, Pfalz, Germany and d 30 Dec. 1766 in Franconia Twp., Montgomery Co., PA. Peter Gerhart and Elisabeth owned the Rising Son Inn Franconia Twp., Montgomery Co. Peter Gerhart bought it in 1757. After Peter died in 1766, his wife Elizabeth Schmidt Gerhart operated the hotel and the hotel remained in the Gerhart family's hands until 1912.. Elizabeth operated the hotel for 18 years. 1766 - 1784. Then it was turned over to son, Jacob. Is there any connection?
